The 60’ Point Runner is one of the fastest and largest boats in the fleet.  We hear many favorable comments about her gentle ride and overall comfort.  Twin Caterpillars provide a 27-knot cruise speed.  The 12K generator powers two air conditioners to keep the spacious salon cool and comfortable.  Our anglers love the GPS, fish-finder, and radar monitor in the cabin.  There is plenty of seating and lounging with two private heads.

Our boat is named for “The Point”, one of the East coast’s hottest fishing spots located 36 nautical miles east/southeast of Nags Head, NC.  In less than ninety minutes after leaving the dock you could be in the fighting chair reeling in a hard-fighting tuna, marlin, dolphin, or wahoo.  The Point Runner is docked at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, home of the largest and most modern fishing fleet on the Eastern Seaboard.  OIFC is located 8 miles South of Nags Head on NC 12 in the beautiful Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Danny Wadsworth has been a licensed captain for over 30 years.  He holds a USCG 100 ton Master and has the skill and experience to make your day safe and productive.  He welcomes you up on the bridge for a visit.  Our main goal is for you to enjoy your day with us and become one of our many repeat charters.  more about Danny

Your friendly mate Greg Erwin is a seasoned pro in the cockpit, allowing ample opportunity for hands-on participation.  He is also a licensed captain and is equally adept at the helm when Danny takes a day off.   And when Greg has a day off you may find him fishing near shore in his center console.
